Multicultural Pageant in Dublin Combines Beauty, Culture and Drug Education

A multicultural beauty pageant in Dublin recently brought together contestants, community representatives and cultural performers for an event focused on both personal achievement and social responsibility. Twenty-four women from seven countries participated in the programme, which was attended by approximately 450 guests at the Church of Scientology & Community Centre. Broccoli Care Ltd. sponsored the programme, which was organised by Miss & Mrs Cross Continent Events Ltd. together with The Truth About Drugs Ireland. The programme began with an educational exhibition where visitors could review factual information about drugs, addiction and prevention. Some participants completed all fourteen educational modules, demonstrating that their preparation went beyond the traditional pageant format.
